NFL Power Rankings, Week 4: Seahawks, Packers keep surging
By Randy Gurzi
It was a statement win for the Green Bay Packers. They have been absolutely dominant to start this season, scoring 85 points in the first two weeks. The problem is, they hadn’t played a great team just yet.
In Week 1, they knocked off the Minnesota Vikings 43-34 but the Vikings are still 0-3. They followed that up with a 42-21 win over the Detroit Lions, who won this weekend but are now still just 1-2. That means their game on Sunday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints was going to be their first real test.
Of course, New Orleans is now just 1-2, but no one is pretending like they’re not still a good team. They’re contenders in the NFC (who already beat Tampa Bay) and they came out firing in this one, looking to get back on track after a frustrating loss to Las Vegas the week prior.
Green Bay did a great job taking everything thrown at them and despite being without Davante Adams again, they dropped another 37 points with Aaron Rodgers leading the way with 283 yards and three touchdowns. They also had a fantastic showing from Allen Lazard who hauled in six receptions for 146 yards and a score.
It was a statement win for the Packers who are now 3-0 on the season. They continue to keep piling on the wins under Matt LaFleur and are again favorites in the NFC.
