John Harbaugh and the Baltimore Ravens were schooled by the Chiefs once again.

The Baltimore Ravens are a team that captured the AFC North in 2018 and 2019. It’s the club that finished with the best record in the league last season and led the NFL in points scored. The offense features the league’s MVP in 2019.

And the team had won 14 consecutive regular-season contests entering Monday night’s clash with the Kansas City Chiefs and the latest meeting between former co-workers John Harbaugh and Andy Reid.

It was the third consecutive year the teams would clash and Kansas City got the best of the Ravens in both 2018 (in overtime) as well as in 2019 — both of those wins at Arrowhead Stadium. But this time around the pair of defending division champions would clash on a Monday night at Baltimore (albeit with little crowd support). Would things be different this time around?

Chiefs 34, Ravens 20. And it really wasn’t that close. Kansas City outgained their hosts 517-228 in total yards and limited Harbaugh’s team to one offensive touchdown.

"“We got beat just about every way you can get beat, and we understand that,” said Harbaugh on a video news conference (via Mark Maske of the Washington Post). “We have a long way to go to get better, and this will be a beginning for us.”"

There were a few bright spots for Baltimore but it also wound up being a very long evening for the team in general, especially for the club’s third-year quarterback.
