New England Patriots (2-1) at Kansas City Chiefs (3-0)

Sunday, October 4, 4:25PM ET

Week 2 may have been a bit shaky for the Chiefs, but they’ve officially arrived following a Week 3 destruction of the Ravens. Now they head into another challenging showdown with the New England Patriots, but I wouldn’t be too concerned if I was Andy Reid.

When they’re at their best, this Chiefs team is nearly unbeatable. Mahomes is playing like the best quarterback in the league (which he arguably is), the Kansas City run game is dominant and the receivers are making big plays even after hauling in Mahomes’ amazing passes. I won’t even start on the Chiefs defense, which held Jackson to 97 passing yards in Week 3.

If they could coral Jackson, they can certainly keep Cam Newton from shredding their secondary. Especially at home, expect the Chiefs to have the Patriots’ number. It won’t be a blowout, but I’m expecting a comfortable lead for most of the game.

Right now, the Chiefs are the team to beat in the AFC. I won’t go as far as crowning them Super Bowl champs yet, but other clubs around the league have a lot of ground to cover before they’ll be ready to knock Mahomes and Co. out of contention.

Prediction: Chiefs win 34-24
