2. Anthony Miller needs to have a complete game

One of the biggest criticisms of Anthony Miller is how inconsistent he plays. He’ll be a big part of the game in one week then disappear in the next.

Despite hearing the opposite from the coaches and his teammates, Miller is off to another uneven season. He came up big in the Week 1 comeback, catching four of his six targets for 74 yards and the game-winning touchdown.

In Week 2, though, he didn’t catch any of his targets. In fact, he kept the Bears from winning the game in an easier fashion, He dropped a pass as he fell into the end zone. That touchdown would have made the score 24-0 in favor of the Bears. The Bears had to sweat out a victory instead.

Additionally in that game, he had a chance to extend a drive late in the game with a critical third-down catch. He failed to catch the pass and the Bears had to give the ball up.

Because of his inconsistencies, Miller’s snap count has dropped. He played in 64 percent of the offensive plays in 2019. That number dropped to 47 percent. Rookie Darnell Mooney has played on more snaps at 52 percent.

Perhaps the change in quarterback helps Miller. He had opportunities in Week 3 to have a big game. He caught the game-winning touchdown again but had another one wiped out after replay and yet a third one in which he was open but Trubisky overthrew the pass. With Foles being a more accurate deep passer, and with his ability to hit the receiver right where he needs it to make a play after the catch, Miller could have a big game.
