2. The defense records four sacks

Jamal Adams suffered a groin strain against Dallas, and he might miss Seattle’s showdown against Miami. Adams recorded a sack in each of the season’s first two games, and Seattle missed his presence on the edge in last week’s fourth quarter. However, Jarran Reed picked up his first sack of the year, and the Seahawks might have something in rookie Alton Robinson.

Seattle selected Robinson in the fifth-round of the 2020 NFL Draft. In three years at Syracuse, Robinson recorded 19 sacks and 32 tackles for loss. He was a bargain late-round grab who saw the first regular-season action of his career last Sunday. In 30 defensive snaps, Robinson picked up three tackles, two tackles for loss, and a clutch sack.

Losing Bruce Irvin early in the year and possibly missing Adams could put a dent in Seattle’s pass rush, but those losses also open opportunities for the team’s plethora of young pass rushers. Against a Dolphins offensive line featuring two rookies, the Seahawks could dominate in the trenches.

1. Russell Wilson throws at least three touchdowns

All aboard the Wilson MVP train! The 31-year-old quarterback is playing out of his mind this season. Through three weeks, Wilson has 925 passing yards, a league-leading 14 passing touchdowns, and only one interception. The veteran’s 139.0 passer rating leads all other qualified passers.

If Wilson keeps his current pace, he’ll set the new single-season completion percentage record and throw for 74 touchdowns. His pace won’t stay this high throughout the entire season, but the Dolphins shouldn’t pose a significant problem for the NFL’s hottest player. In a year where everyone else is struggling, Wilson is cementing his status as a future Hall of Famer.
