Bold predictions for the undefeated Chicago Bears in Week 4 as they host the Colts.

The Chicago Bears play host to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4. Incredibly, they are still among the undefeated teams in the NFL. Incredible for a couple of reasons. First, many NFL media outlets predicted that the Bears would only have three wins all season. Well, they are already there, and unless they lose each of the next 13 games, they’ll end up with more than those three games.

Second, the Bears needed to come back from 15+ point fourth-quarter deficits in two of those games. In the other game, they had to hold on for dear life to prevent a fourth-quarter meltdown themselves.

So-called experts around the league keep saying the Bears are winning ugly, it doesn’t matter. A win is a win and their place atop the NFC North (tied with the hated Green Bay Packers) is beautiful.

Now the task is to keep up the magical season. No, they don’t have to go undefeated (though that would really rile up the critics and would be great). If they could win the division or just get into the playoffs it’d be great. Get a playoff win and that’s better than even the most ardent Chicago Bears fan could expect.

The Bears have a new quarterback at the helm. The previous starter, Mitchell Trubisky, struggled in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons. To be honest, aside from a few minutes here and there, he’s basically been struggling all season. He’s been the same Trubisky we’ve seen throughout his career — bad footwork, inaccuracy on deep passes, and bad decisions.

If you take a look at the interception on his last drive, Trubisky didn’t see how wide-open Allen Robinson was. Instead, he telegraphed his pass to tight end Jimmy Graham, and his pass was picked off.

That spelled the end and Nick Foles came in. He engineered the Bears’ second comeback. Now, going forward, Foles is the guy.

Let’s see how Foles performs, starting this week. Here are three bold predictions for the game.
