Stud: Keenan Allen

When in doubt, Keenan Allen saves the day for the Chargers, at least the best he can as a wide receiver. Allen has proven to be Herbert’s favorite target as the two are still getting acquainted. Allen finished this game with eight grabs for 62 yards and while he didn’t find the end zone, he continued to get key grabs for Herbert and the Chargers.

If the Chargers want to get back into the win column in the coming weeks, Keenan Allen will have to be a big reason as to why. He’s stayed healthy in recent years and it’s shown, as he’s looked the best he ever has in his career. He might not have scored a touchdown this week, but time and time again, Allen is there to make a big play or grab a key third or fourth down conversion, as he did in this game.

Dud: Kyzir White

Kyzir White wasn’t awful in this game, but he falls into the dud section this week because of a play where he allowed O.J. Howard to beat him to make it a three-point game. At this point in the game, Los Angeles still had a comfortable lead, but with the Bucs finding the end zone here, it made it 24-21 in favor of the Chargers, cutting into their lead.

White finished the game with six tackles and one pass defensed but that touchdown scored over his head to Howard was a bad play for him. Tampa Bay got momentum with this touchdown pass, but hopefully White bounces back and has a better game moving forward.
