Studs and duds from the Minnesota Vikings first win of the 2020 season in Week 4.
Both the Minnesota Vikings and the Houston Texans came into Week 4 of the 2020 NFL regular season looking to record the first win of the new year on Sunday afternoon. After opening the year with a disappointing record of 0-3 overall, Minnesota looked to bounce back this weekend on the road against a fellow winless team in the Texans.
At the end of Sunday afternoon’s contest, the Vikings were finally able to crack their first victory of the year, taking down the Texans 31-23 in Houston.
In the game, Minnesota was able to get off to a nice start to the contest on the road and was able to cruise to a win from that point on. The Vikings led by as much as 11 in the first half, taking a 17-6 advantage into halftime
In the second half, Minnesota allowed Houston to hold a 17-14 edge over the final two frames, including almost adding a touchdown at the end of the game, but the Vikings were able to do enough to pull out the eight-point win away from home.
With the win, Minnesota improves to 1-3 on the year and finally gets into the win column here during the 2020 campaign. In the loss, Houston drops to a winless record of 0-4 overall and will try to crack into the win column in Week 5 next weekend.
The Vikings will get back to the field in Week 5 when they take on a tough NFC opponent in the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football in Seattle. The Texans will return to action next weekend when they remain at home and welcome in the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon in Houston.
