Who stood out in Week 4 for the Dallas Cowboys and who let the team down?

It was another tough game for the Dallas Cowboys who lost 49-38 to the Cleveland Browns. It was their third loss of the year and they’re now looking at a 1-3 start to the 2020 NFL season.

They did make a ferocious comeback attempt, which has been their M.O. as of late, but the 41-14 hole they dug to start the fourth quarter proved to be too much.

Here we look back over the embarrassing loss and identify some of the studs and duds from their first game in the month of October. And rest assured, the duds far out-number the studs after a game like the one in Week 4.

Honorable mention stud: Dalton Schultz

When Blake Jarwin went down, it was a gut punch for this offense. They went from having a player they were very high on to being desperately thin. Now, we have to wonder if Dalton Schultz might be better than Jarwin.

He’s been playing at a high level and Sunday was another big game for him. He finished with four receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown, which was his second of the season. He’s offered them a player who is a capable blocker in the run game, but can also stand out as a receiver.

Honorable mention dud: Dontari Poe

Fans all over Cowboys nation were stoked when Dontari Poe was signed since it meant they finally had a big nose tackle to shut down the run. Unfortunately, after four games, no one even knows he’s been there. And on Sunday, he was again unable to help.

Poe had only two tackles as the Cowboys gave up a franchise-worst 307 yards on the ground. Not all of those yards were on him, but he was supposed to be the main reason they didn’t get gouged like that anymore.
