NFL Power Rankings, Week 5: Cowboys free-falling, Bills stay perfect
By Randy Gurzi
At what point do we start the Josh Allen for MVP campaign? Allen now has the Buffalo Bills sitting at 4-0 and while he didn’t have his best game of the year, he did enough to move the ball when needed and led them to a 30-23 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Having said that, not everything is perfect in Western New York as Brandon Croce of BuffaLowDown still has some concerns about the team, and it’s not from the side of the ball we are used to worrying about in Buffalo.
"“However, the Buffalo Bills defense has to be a point of concern as the team allowed over 300 passing yards for the third straight game. The Bills did lose starting cornerback Levi Wallace early due to an ankle injury, which opened the door for the debut of Josh Norman with the franchise. While Josh Norman did have a key forced fumble late in the fourth quarter, the passing defense has to be a concern for Sean McDermott, whose expertise is on this side of the football.” — Croce, BuffalowDown"
McDermott has had a great defense in Buffalo for years, so the frustration in pass defense is a bit concerning. However, defenses are behind offenses right now around the league after the absence of offseason activities. Still, they would surely like to see them get it together sooner rather than later.
