NFL Power Rankings, Week 5: Cowboys free-falling, Bills stay perfect
By Randy Gurzi
Week 3 was an interesting one for the Seattle Seahawks. They hosted the Dallas Cowboys and it looked as though they were going to run away with that one as they took a 30-15 lead in the third quarter. However, Dallas fought back and was up 31-30 in the final quarter. Russell Wilson and the Seahawks marched down the field for the game-winning score and headed into this game 3-0.
Moving to 4-0 looked easy on paper as the Miami Dolphins are a struggling team — but they proved to be a tough out at their home stadium. Miami kept it close and in the third quarter, they had pulled it to 17-15 but then Seattle pulled ahead.
Wilson hit David Moore for a touchdown but them Shaquill Griffin picked off a pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick that gave them a short field. That drive ended with a rushing touchdown frim running back Chris Carson — who was a surprise participant as a tackle from Trysten Hill the week prior looked to be serious.
Now at 4-0, Seattle will head back home for a game against the Minnesota Vikings followed by back-to-back contests against NFC West teams. They could cement themselves as one of the top two NFC contenders with a strong stretch over those three weeks.
