NFL Power Rankings, Week 5: Cowboys free-falling, Bills stay perfect

Plays Monday night vs. New England Patriots
The Baltimore Ravens had occupied our top spot in the 2020 NFL Power Rankings until they met up with the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 3. That Monday Night Football game was supposed to be a knock-out AFC showdown that would give us 12-rounds of fighting action — but instead, it was a quick TKO from the defending champs.
With the way Baltimore was playing heading into the game, and the fact that the Chiefs needed overtime to beat the Los Angeles Chargers, it seemed as though that one would have been closer. But apparently, Patrick Mahomes and his teammates were ready to kick it into high gear and they ran all over the Ravens.
Now, they’re going to have to wait for the chance to follow up that impressive performance as their game against the New England Patriots was postponed with members of the Pats coming down with COVID-19. Cam Newton was the first player named and now the league is trying to be overly cautious by moving the game to Monday night.
Once it does kick off, it could be another AFC playoff showdown. The Pats are still a tough team, even without Tom Brady, coming into this one with a 2-1 record. As for the Chiefs, they are rounding into form and look ready for another big game.
They proved without a doubt that they’re the best team in the NFL and even the target on their back that being a champion brings has yet to slow them down.
