The reigning Super Bowl champions have picked right back up from where they left off in the Super Bowl, but it hasn’t all been sunshine and sprinkles for the Chiefs. They barely escaped Los Angeles with a win in Week 2 and it took them nearly three quarters to get their offense going against the Patriots in Week 4.

Kansas City is the best undefeated team because they have Patrick Mahomes, who always gives them a chance to win the ball game. Even more importantly, the Chiefs defense now looks Super Bowl-caliber as well, handling the crazy rushing attack of the Ravens with ease. That performance made people really second guess their thoughts on the Chiefs defense, which wasn’t getting the respect it deserved.

The AFC West hasn’t been competitive to this point, but the Chiefs did have a tough time getting past the Chargers two weeks ago. They’ll get the Raiders next and winning that game could give them a very steady lead in the division, which is something the rest of the AFC West is hoping doesn’t happen.

It’s hard not to have the champs at No. 1 and as long as they continue to win, they’ll continue to be ranked at the top of undefeated teams in the league.

We know for sure that the Packers will be undefeated this time next week, but the others aren’t guaranteed. The Chiefs and Seahawks have the easiest games out of the bunch and unless they tie, the Steelers or the Titans will suffer their first loss of the 2020 season.
