FanDuel NFL picks and lineup advice for Week 5 DFS fantasy football.

If your main fantasy football team is underperforming or your favorite NFL team is on bye or putting up a disappointing season, DFS games are a great alternative way to enjoy football every Sunday. Whether you want to risk it big on a tournament or play it safe in a 50/50 contest, this article will contain DFS advice for players at every position that will help you craft the perfect FanDuel DFS lineup in Week 5.

When talking about players I will reference the salaries and salary cap of a typical FanDuel tournament. I will also show a complete tournament lineup, which consists of nine positions: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, FLEX, DEF. The players referenced will all be from the Sunday game slate.

Without further ado, here are my FanDuel NFL DFS picks for Week 5 of the 2020 season.

FanDuel NFL Week 5 picks: Quarterback

There are many ways to play the quarterback position in DFS, and the path you chose is going to greatly affect how the rest of your team looks. If you want to roll with a stud at the quarterback position, I recommend splurging for Patrick Mahomes ($9,000) and Dak Prescott ($8,700).

These two players offer a scoring floor that is usually still good enough for a QB1 finish while possessing the potential to be the top scorer at the position in any given week. If you chose to go with one of these options, consider stacking them with their top receivers or tight ends, especially in a tournament where you need more upside.

If you prefer spending up at other positions, there are plenty of mid-range quarterback options in Week 5. Both Jared Goff ($7,500) and Ben Roethlisberger ($7,400) have a good chance to post a top ten finish with their favorable matchups, though both lack the upside that guys like Prescott have due to their solid defenses.

The biggest steal this week is easily Teddy Bridgewater ($7,100), who gets to play a pitiful Atlanta defense and is coming off a strong performance where he finished as the QB4. Bridgewater is a fantastic option that gives you QB1 potential while saving you a few thousand dollars.
