FanDuel NFL Week 5 picks: Running Back

Regardless of how you are playing DFS, you’re going to want to end up with one of the top running backs on your roster. This week I am extremely high on the value of Clyde Edwards-Helaire ($7,900) and would actually have him as my RB1 overall this week, regardless of salary.

Ezekiel Elliott is also a player who should see guaranteed returns against the Giants, though he will cost you a pretty penny at $9,000. Kareem Hunt’s ($7,000) value has yet to catch up to the Chubb injury, though he faces a stout Colts defense that could limit his ceiling.

In the mid-range running backs, James Robinson ($6,600) is still underpriced, despite putting up consistent points week after week. Jerick McKinnon ($6,400) is also a tremendous value, regardless of whether Raheem Mostert ($6,500) is back on the field or not.

You can certainly make the case for Kenyan Drake ($6,200), though he could provide tremendous value in a tournament; considering he has burned nearly every fantasy player at some time this year, his roster percentage is bound to be low.

Finally, Antonio Gibson ($5,800) is still not getting the respect he deserves and it being priced behind guys like Chase Edmonds ($5,900) and Jeff Wilson Jr. ($6,200). He has shown now that he has big-play potential and his matchup against the Rams is not too formidable. While it may hurt adding Devonta Freeman ($5,500) to your lineup, he still showed he had the starting role with 15 touches in Week 4, and now gets to face a weak Dallas defense.

Week 5 DFS Wide Receiver Advice

Wide receiver this week is interesting, as there are a lot of the top receiving options missing with there being two teams on bye, two Monday Night games and a Tuesday Night game.

For the Sunday slate, Tyreek Hill ($8,200) is the best value but I also like Amari Cooper ($7,800) and Cooper Kupp ($7,200). However, I think that the best values this week are certainly in the mid-range wide receivers, so I would be more than willing to spend up at running back or tight end.

Robby Anderson ($6,200) is almost an instant lock in every lineup and is still priced behind his teammate D.J. Moore ($6,600) despite being the WR12 on the year. Terry McLaurin ($6,300) is also a steal and is currently sitting at fifth in the NFL in receiving yards and sixth in receptions.

I am also a big fan of CeeDee Lamb ($5,900) and Darius Slayton ($5,800), who should both be involved in a high scoring affair against each other. Diontae Johnson ($5,800) is also playing for the first time since going out with an injury in Week 3 and saw 23 targets in the first two weeks.
