Dak Prescott suffered a terrible injury against the Giants that likely ended his season.

Whether or not you are a Cowboys fan, the injury suffered by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has you offering prayers and well wishes.

Late in the third quarter against the New York Giants, leading 24-23, Prescott ran the ball before being awkwardly tackled and ended suffering a severe ankle injury that resulted in a cart being brought out and carrying Prescott off the field.

The Mississippi State alum looks to be done for the season as Andy Dalton has checked in to the game.

Prescott turned down a big offer from the Cowboys this season in hopes of making more money than what was initially offered. Since being a fourth-round pick in 2016, Prescott has led the Cowboys to two division titles and a playoff victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

Throughout his career, Prescott has shown resilience and the ability to stay on the field. This time, however, it looks like he will be watching the rest of the year from the sidelines.

Dak Prescott’s injury might result in a high draft pick for the Cowboys

There’s no doubt that this is a significant blow to the offense given the loss of OT Tyron Smith to season-ending neck surgery. Furthermore, the deficiencies on defense have almost been covered up thanks to Prescott’s style of play. Unfortunately, that may not be the case the rest of the year.

With so many injuries to their roster and now the franchise quarterback being out for the year, there is a high possibility that Dallas might be picking higher than they expected, possibly top 10 and higher depending on how the rest of the season pans out.
