2020 NFL Power Rankings Week 6: Browns crack top-10, Chiefs slip up
By Randy Gurzi
Last week was good for the Cincinnati Bengals who finally got their first win with Joe Burrow under center. And Burrow, who had been used to winning at every level seemed as though he needed that victory.
He had been playing well, but the losses weren’t something he enjoyed. Knocking off the Jags was a milestone for him, as the head coach of the team said.
"“”It gets the monkey off your back a little bit,”” coach Zac Taylor said, via Kevin Patra of ESPN. “”That’s the truth. You gotta get that first win of the season. A lot of the small things that pop over the weeks when you’re not winning, they add up. So to get that first win, everybody gets that pressure off of him a little bit. Now we can just free up and go play ball.””"
Burrow had his own opinion on the win, heading to social media to say that “winning is fun.”
In Week 5, it didn’t look to be near as much fun. Burrow was under attack all game from the Baltimore Ravens and had multiple turnovers in this loss. It wasn’t all on him though as the Ravens are simply one of the most well-rounded teams in the NFL.
There’s going to be a lot to learn from in this one and while Burrow surely hated this loss, he’s still got plenty of wins in his future.
