Who stood out in the Dallas Cowboys Week 5 win?

It was only their second win of the season but it felt like a major loss as the Dallas Cowboys knocked off the New York Giants, but Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending injury. With him down, the Cowboys turned to Andy Dalton, who might be one of the best backups in the NFL.

Dalton came in and kept the offense moving and Dallas found a way to win with a last-second Greg Zuerlein kick — his second game-winner of the season. It was enough to put them in first place in the NFC East as they were the only team in the division to secure a win this weekend.

Now, we look back over the game and identify which players stood out — both good and bad — in this week’s studs and duds.

Honorary Stud: Dak Prescott

Once again Dallas started out slow and Dak Prescott was a big part of that as he threw an early pick-six. It was becoming a trend for him to turn the ball over at the most inopportune times, often coming right after the opponent scored.

However, he then put the team back on his shoulders and led them back to the lead. He had 166 yards passing, seven yards rushing, and even caught an 11-yard touchdown off the hand of wide receiver Cedrick Wilson. Sadly, it ended with him suffering a nasty ankle injury that will end his season.

The entire city of Dallas is supporting him and even fans of other teams are saying positive things about Prescott. Sadly, he’s a free agent at the end of the season but we all saw how much he meant to this team as the emotion on their face was evident when they saw him go down.
