Five NFL teams that could potentially sign running back Le’Veon Bell.

Earlier this week there were rumors that the New York Jets were looking to trade away running back Le’Veon Bell to try and recoup some of the substantial investment they put towards him. Bell came off injured reserve for his second game of the 2020 NFL season in Week 5 and responded with an underwhelming performance, but the problems go deeper than his play.

After signing with the Jets, Bell has been mediocre at best but the blame for his lack of success should be shared with the player himself and the disaster of a franchise that decided to pay him all that money in the first place.

The Jets never put Bell in a position to succeed and have done the same with their supposed franchise quarterback Sam Darnold.

So rather than keep a sulking and underperforming player on the roster, the Jets chose to release him and still owe him a significant amount of money including a $2.5 million bonus. Because of the money still owed to him by the Jets, Bell could choose to sign with a team that is still in contention for the veteran minimum, assuming of course a team in that position would sign him.

There are several NFL teams that fit the bill as a potential landing spot for the seventh-year back and here are the five teams that make the most sense
