3. Eliot Wolf

Another candidate who could be a nice option to take over in Atlanta as the new general manager of the team is current New England Patriots front office consultant Eliot Wolf.

Wolf is the son of former Green Bay Packers general manager Ron Wolf, who was one of the more successful and highly respected general managers in NFL history. When Ted Thompson left the Packers in 2018, many thought Wolf would end up taking over for Thompson to lead the front office moving forward, but the organization ended up hiring Brian Gutekunst instead.

Before serving as a front office consultant with New England, Wolf broke into the league in the front office of the Packers in 2004, where he remained until 2017. Wolf began his career as a Pro Personnel Assistant and ended up later being promoted as high as the Director of Football Operations in Green Bay.

Following his time with the Packers, Wolf joined the Cleveland Browns from 2018-19 and was the organization’s Assistant General Manager before they parted ways clearing the way for Wolf to join the Patriots in 2020.

Wolf has experience and could be viewed as one of the top candidates looking to take over the helm as a team’s general manager. The Falcons could strongly consider this option for the 2021 season and beyond.
