2. Houston Texans vs. Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans were, in essence, the start of the COVID-19 issues in the 2020 NFL season. Their Week 4 matchup with the Steelers was postponed due to an outbreak, the team broke protocols with a practice amid positive tests and lingering issues led to their Week 5 game against the Bills getting moved to Tuesday night.

Yet, when the Titans got back on the field for that game against Buffalo, they looked wildly impressive. Not only did the Tennessee defense give Josh Allen more trouble than he’s had all season but the offense was firing on all cylinders. Ryan Tannehill and the offense put up a monster game as they hung 42 points on a previously undefeated Bills team to keep their own perfect record intact.

The Texans have been a mess for much of the year, which led to head coach and general manager Bill O’Brien getting fired after a 0-4 start. It’s not just that O’Brien has hurt their future with trading away draft picks and DeAndre Hopkins but they’ve also struggled on the field. However, Houston bounced back in their first game without O’Brien, topping the Jaguars last week.

If the Texans are getting right with the dead weight now cut off, this game could be intriguing. Houston, on paper, could challenge the Titans, especially with AFC South familiarity in play. Subsequently, it’ll be fascinating to see if Houston can actually turn things around without O’Brien as they take on an unbeaten Tennessee squad.
