Bold predictions for the Detroit Lions in their Week 6 game against the Jaguars.

The Detroit Lions are back from the bye week and begin with a visit to Duval County to take on the Jaguars. It marks an important stretch of Detroit’s season as three of their next four opponents have losing records. It will be a vital stretch for the Motor City men as they look to kickstart their season and make a run towards a wildcard spot.

Detroit currently sits third in the NFC North with a 1-3 record, though that could be 2-2 had it not been for a D’Andre Swift drop in the dying seconds against Chicago. Ultimately the Lions record is what it is for a reason, and that reason is they still have not been able to defend at all.

Matt Patricia was hired as the genius defensive coordinator from New England, but it is now year three and the defense is still struggling. Then there is still the issue of blowing leads. In their three defeats, the Lions led by two scores and still allowed their opponents to come back.

Detroit gave up a staggering 35 unanswered points in the Week 4 defeat to the Saints after taking a 14-0 lead. This has been a recurring theme for the Lions under Patricia and it needs to change. The schedule takes a forgiving turn for the next few weeks and it is imperative they start strong on Sunday.

Before the Lions take the field on Sunday, here are three bold predictions for what the Lions will do against the Jaguars in Week 6.
