DraftKings NFL Week 6 values: Tight Ends

Mark Andrews (BAL at PHI, $6,500) sits on the top shelf by his lonesome this week, and he’s worth every penny against an Eagles defense that is positively atrocious at covering tight ends. Only the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons have allowed more touchdowns to the position through the first five weeks of the season.

In addition to the aforementioned Ertz, mid-tier marvels include Mike Gesicki (MIA vs. NYJ, $5,500), who could be in for a big week against the hapless Jets, and Jonnu Smith (TEN vs. HOU, $5,200), who seems like a steal against a Houston Texans defense that scares no one, certainly not a player with Smith’s athleticism and skill set.

Of all the bargains found in the under $5,000 bin, none are shinier led than Evan Engram (NYG vs. WAS, $4,900). Expect a monster game, his first of the season, against a Football Team defense that ranks in the bottom five in points allowed to the tight end position.

Honorable Mentions go out to T.J. Hockenson (DET at JAX, $5,300), Eric Ebron (PIT vs. CLE, $4,100), and Trey Burton (IND vs. CIN, $3,100). The latter may take some by surprise, but with Mo Allie Cox out, Burton caught five of six targets last week; the former “Philly Special” standout could have his number called often by Frank Reich, the offensive coordinator during Burton’s Super Bowl championship season in Philadelphia.
