DraftKings NFL Week 6 values: Defense/Special Teams
Defensive touchdowns can be fairly unpredictable, so there’s nothing wrong with stacking a lineup full of studs and shoe-horning a bargain-basement defense with the remaining dregs of the salary cap. However, even with DraftKings doing a much better job of appropriately accounting for matchups when pricing defensive units, there are a few values to be found.
We like the Miami Dolphins (MIA vs. NYJ, $2,900), who should be good for a few takeaways and perhaps a pick-six against a Jets crew takes off for its first flight without Le’Veon Bell, a voyage that could be their last with head coach Adam Gase.
Honorable mentions: the Washington Football Team (WAS at NYG, $3,200) features a formidable front seven that should tee off on Daniel Jones and the struggling New York Giants. We also have an eye on the Indianapolis Colts (IND vs. CIN, $4,000) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (PIT vs. CLE, $3,600), who should produce a return on their fairly hefty price tags.
Those willing to pay up at the position will find it hard to pass on the New England Patriots (NE vs. DEN, $4,100), who’ll face Drew Lock in his first game since Week 2. The second-year signal-caller was uninspiring even before going down with a shoulder injury.
