Green Bay Packers: 5 Trade targets at the 2020 NFL trade deadline

The Green Bay Packers could solidify a Super Bowl-caliber roster by making a move for these players at the trade deadline.
The 2020 NFL trade deadline on Nov. 3 is fast approaching, and the Green Bay Packers could be buyers when the time comes. The Packers are one of just four undefeated teams after five weeks, signaling they’re one of the NFL’s elite contenders this season.
But even with an undefeated record, there’s still a few question marks surrounding the current makeup of the Packers roster. For starters, Green Bay has legitimate issues defending the run. Though part of is due to nose tackle Kenny Clark’s prolonged absence, Clark alone cannot do everything on the defensive line.
Consequentially, the Packers have allowed 4.8 yards per carry this season, which ranks 25th in the NFL. Clark, who injured his groin in Week 1, is expected to play this Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Whether he’ll have an immediate impact against Ronald Jones and the Bucs’ running game remains to be seen.
The Packers could look into trading for a two-down run stuffing nose tackle. Acquiring a player from a losing team makes the most sense. Teams like the New York Giants, New York Jets and Denver Broncos all could be trade suitors for the Packers.
On offense, Green Bay doesn’t have many needs, if any at all. Even with no Davante Adams in the lineup for the past two games, the Packers passing attack hasn’t missed a beat. That said, the team lost Allen Lazard, the unquestioned No. 2 receiver, to a core muscle injury two weeks ago.
Bringing in another receiver could make sense, but only for the right price. The Packers offense is firing on all cylinders at the moment, so disrupting the current flow might be a bad idea. With that said, here are five potential trade targets for the Green Bay Packers ahead of the 2020 NFL trade deadline.
