2021 NFL Mock Draft: Steelers bank on Mac Jones, Dolphins land Jaylen Waddle
Whenever Cam Newton gets back on the field for the Patriots, he’s likely going to continue impressing. At the same time, he’s also likely going to continue to have some sporadic issues with a lackluster group of wide receivers.
That’s why New England selects Rondale Moore out of Purdue with the No. 21 pick in this 2021 NFL mock draft. Moore is a lightning-fast playmaker that can make any defender miss. He has a slight frame, which is somewhat concerning, but his game-breaking potential is too great for the Pats to pass up. Luckily, we’ll get to see him in 2020 as he’s opted back in for Purdue.
Doubters of Tom Brady in Tampa Bay are certainly feeling somewhat vindicated through five weeks as the team has yet to start clicking on all cylinders. Yet, you could likely still chalk that up to the chemistry still developing. Moving forward, though, the Bucs actually do need another weapon, specifically in the backfield. Travis Etienne is an elite prospect with home-run potential whenever the ball is in his hands, which is often as a terrific runner and pass-catcher.
Whether or not the Chicago Bears are going to take a quarterback — especially if they make the playoffs — remains to be seen. While that would make sense, they take a different route here with Marvin Wilson Jr. falling to the. The Florida State product isn’t the most overwhelming physical presence but his motor and skills as a defensive tackle could provide needed depth in the Windy City to add to their strength on that side of the ball.
Linebacker was pointed out as one of the Browns’ weaknesses entering the 2020 season and that has indeed proven to be the case to this point. They take a flier on Chazz Surratt here to try and remedy that.
The North Carolina product was a quarterback for the Tar Heels just a couple of years ago but has taken to the other side of the ball like a fish to water. His athleticism and football IQ are obvious and, with more experience, he has the potential to be a special player, especially for a team in need like Cleveland.
