Why the Dallas Cowboys will beat the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football.

This week, Monday Night Football was supposed to give us a great battle between Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys and Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals. Sadly, that quarterback battle won’t take place since Prescott was lost for the season with an ankle injury. And with him out, most are tapping out on the Dallas Cowboys.

It’s understandable why that is since the rest of the Cowboys roster has been inconsistent, at best, this season. Players such as Ezekiel Elliott has had one of his least efficient seasons to date, running for just 3.9 yards per carry.

They’ve also had no help on the offensive line, especially with La’el Collins and Tyron Smith each being out for the entire season. There’s also the loss of Blake Jarwin and while Dalton Schultz has performed well, it would have been even better to have Jarwin on the field who was expected to break out.

And this is without even looking at the defensive side of the ball — which has been an absolute mess. Their pass rush was supposed to be phenomenal but outside of Aldon Smith, it’s been rather disappointing. Even worse has been the play of their linebackers but nothing has been as ugly as their secondary.

With all that being said, it’s easy to see why Dallas isn’t expected to win this game. But counting them out completely could also be a mistake. Here we look at the upcoming game and see three reasons the Cowboys will defeat Arizona and move to 3-3 on the 2020 NFL season.
