NFL Power Rankings, Week 7: Steelers, Buccaneers make emphatic leap

The New York Giants finally got a win under Joe Judge but it wasn’t pretty. They won in part due to Ron Rivera gambling at the end and going for two-points when down by one. After the game, Paul Schwartz of the New York Post didn’t hold back as he said the first win in Judge’s career was “messy.”
"“Pretty much one big mess. Daniel Jones (12 of 19, 112 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) did two excellent things: Take off on a 49-yard run to set up a field goal and lob one to Darius Slayton for a TD. Other than that, it was grim. His throw-it-out-of-the-end-zone interception late in the third quarter was amateur hour. Rookie Andrew Thomas — who did not start at left tackle because he was late for a team meeting — completely missed a backside block on Montez Sweat on a 1-yard loss to force a punt. Devonta Freeman (18-61) tried but the run blocking is mostly weak. Receivers getting open is way too difficult for this group. Only 240 total yards? C’mon now.” — Schwartz, New York Post"
Now at 1-5, the Giants are one of three teams in the NFC East with only one win. As bad as they have been, this puts them right in the mix as the Dallas Cowboys enter Monday morning in first place at 2-3, and they won’t have Dak Prescott anymore after he was hurt last week against the Giants.
It’s not as if they’re threatening to do anything legitimate but the fact that they still could make a run in this division is just entertaining.”
