Four New York Jets who could help the Dallas Cowboys improve via trade.

It’s not a secret right now that the New York Jets are a mess and they might be having themselves a firesale, which could be a good thing for the Dallas Cowboys. New York entered Week 7 with a mark of 0-6 and they seem ready to move on from plenty of their players as they stockpile draft assets for yet another rebuild.

New York already traded defensive tackle Steve McClendon to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and defensive end Jordan Willis to the San Francisco 49ers. McClendon was so happy to get away from the Jets that he reportedly jumped in his car and started driving to Tampa Bay as the team’s game against Miami ended.

The Jets also dropped running back Le’Veon Bell, just under one and a half seasons after signing him to a multi-year deal. Bell was supposed to be the centerpiece for their offense but instead found himself often frustrated with the team and his discontent led to him being rewarded with an opportunity to join the Kansas City Chiefs.

Of course, this seems to be the norm when dealing with Adam Gase, who is the current head coach in New York. In his previous stop as the Miami Dolphins head coach, he ran off players such as Jarvis Landry, Ryan Tannehill, Robert Quinn, and Jay Ajayi. All did better in their new homes, with Ajayi winning a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017.

With all that being said, the Dallas Cowboys are a team that should be paying close attention to what’s going on in the Big Apple. They’re currently still in the mix in their porous division and adding some players in a trade with the Jets could help push them over the top. Here we look at four such players that could help the Cowboys as trade deadline acquisitions.
