FanDuel NFL Week 7 Picks and Advice: Wide Receiver

Wide receiver is interesting this week as I think there are plenty of cheaper options that can help out if you spend up at other positions. But the top receivers almost all have extremely juicy matchups, which makes them tempting as well.

You can not go wrong with DeAndre Hopkins ($9,000) or Davante Adams ($8,900), the two highest-priced receivers in the main slate, though I think Tyreek Hill ($80,00) actually offers the best value. Even though many think of him as an elite boom-bust receiver, he has actually been very consistent outside of last week.

There are tons of mid-range wide receiver options that I love this week. Kenny Golladay ($7,600) and Terry McLaurin ($7,100) are a little more expensive but both have amazing matchups. D.J. Chark Jr. ($6,500), Will Fuller V ($6,900), and A.J. Brown ($6,800), if healthy, are all talented receivers with high touchdown upside that should be in high scoring affairs.

Finally, for the cheaper wide receivers, my favorite by far is Tee Higgins ($5,700), who has a great matchup against Cleveland and is slowly stepping into that WR1 role for his team. Deebo Samuel ($5,400) is also extremely underpriced and should see plenty of volume to go with the talent to turn an end-around into a long touchdown. Finally, if you are looking for a deep play in a tournament, Christian Kirk ($5,400) is a fine play in a likely shootout against a terrible Seattle defense.

As for receivers I am avoiding, Amari Cooper ($7,800) is way overpriced at the WR6, as Dallas’s offense is in shambles and Washington has actually been solid against the pass. Even though JuJu Smith-Schuster ($7,400) has a great matchup, he is extremely overpriced for his performance thus far and I would much rather play Chase Claypool ($6,400) or Diontae Johnson ($5,800).
