FanDuel NFL Week 7 Picks and Advice: Tight End

This week, you are missing Mark Andrews or Darren Waller but Travis Kelce ($7,900) and George Kittle ($7,100) are always both in play. The best values this week in my eyes are easily T.J. Hockenson ($5,900) and Hunter Henry ($5800). Both of these players are priced relatively cheap and have a great shot at getting a touchdown and at least five receptions, as they both should be involved in a shootout.

If you want to go even cheaper, Dalton Schultz ($5,200), who saw five targets last week with Andy Dalton under center, is a fine play against Washington who has been extremely vulnerable to the tight end.

I am not super excited to play Noah Fant ($6,000) or Jared Cook ($6,100) purely because neither has too great of a matchup and they are both coming off an injury, which adds a lot of unnecessary risk that you do not want in DFS.

FanDuel NFL Week 7 Picks and Advice: D/ST

While normally I advise punting the defense and looking for value at other positions, it is hard to ignore the Buffalo D/ST ($5,000) this week against the Jets. Even with Sam Darnold coming back I think they are worth the hefty price tag, although there are still plenty of other cheaper values.

Kansas City ($4,600) and New Orleans ($4,000) are cheaper picks with solid matchups. If you want to fully punt the position, consider taking a side in the Washington ($3,800) versus Dallas ($3,700) football game, which should involve a lot of turnovers and not a lot of points.

FanDuel NFL Week 7 DFS Lineup

  • QB Kyler Murray – $8,400
  • RB Aaron Jones – $8,500
  • RB Kareem Hunt – $7,100
  • WR Kenny Golladay – $7,600
  • WR Terry McLaurin – $7,100
  • WR Tee Higgins – $5,700
  • TE TJ Hockenson – $5,900
  • FLEX Antonio Gibson – $5,700
  • D/ST New Orleans – $4,000

This lineup combines a few clear cut studs with plenty of talented players in great matchups. Players like Golladay and McLaurin have the potential to put up a top-five week, whereas guys like Higgins and Gibson are talented rookies looking for a breakout game. Combine that with the fact that most of these players are projected to be in high scoring shootouts and you have a high-upside, high-floor lineup.

If you are playing in a tournament, you may want to play some deeper plays and work more around individual matchups. For example, you could replace Golladay and McLaurin with DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk to pair with Kyler Murray as your quarterback. Regardless of your lineup and strategy, best of luck in your Week 7 FanDuel DFS endeavors!
