Dallas Cowboys studs and duds from Week 7 blowout loss
By Randy Gurzi
The Dallas Cowboys lost again, and these were the players who stood out, good and bad.
In Week 7, the Dallas Cowboys headed to the nation’s capital to take on the Washington Football Team. And it didn’t take long at all to see that they once again weren’t going to be excited about their performance.
Dallas came out flat, as they have in every game this season, and after a quick goal-line stand on defense, they were down 9-0. The defensive stop seemed to be a good sign but Andy Dalton fumbled while being sacked which led to a safety.
Washington then took the ball right back down the field and scored once again to take the early two-score lead. From there, this game was never close. The Cowboys abysmal defense allowed Kyle Allen to have his way as he resembled Joe Montana more than a backup who was recently placed over Dwayne Haskins.
Of course, Dallas has typically allowed players to have their best days against them. Odell Beckham, Jr. had his best outing in a Cleveland Browns uniform this season, Kyler Murray couldn’t be tackled when taking off last week, and the New York Giants had them on the ropes till the final seconds. And in that same respect, Washington had their season-high in every offensive category in the win.
Now at 2-5, the Cowboys season is all but over. They need to start thinking about the future, but we are still going to take one final look back at this game. Here we see which players stood out both in good and bad ways, in these Week 7 studs and duds.
