DraftKings best Week 7 values: Running Backs

If there’s a single player I’m building lineups around this week, it’s Alvin Kamara (NO vs. CAR, $7,900), who finds himself in a smash spot against a Carolina Panthers defense that has allowed more receptions to running backs over the last five weeks than any other NFL team. The only other top-tier running back to chase this week is Ezekiel Elliott (DAL at WAS, $7,800).

Just below the premium shelf, Kareem Hunt (CLE at CIN, $6,800) has a real chance to finish as the RB1 and put up the kind of eye-popping numbers we saw him produce in Kansas City a few years ago. James Conner (PIT at TEN, $6,700), outside of his performance against an excellent Philadelphia Eagles run defense, has played well this season; he faces a Tennessee Titans defense that is statistically worse (in PPR formats) than the Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos units that each gave up 100 yards on the ground to Conner in recent weeks.

Ronald Jones (TB at LV, $6,200) draws an extremely soft matchup, though the return of Leonard Fournette could cap his ceiling somewhat. We prefer Todd Gurley (ATL vs. DET, $6,000), who will likewise be served a cupcake in Week 7 and can be played for $200 less.

Other running backs we like at lower prices include Devin Singletary (BUF at NYJ, $5,500), D’Andre Swift (DET at ATL, $5,400), and Antonio Gibson (WAS vs. DAL, $5,000), and Kenyan Drake (ARI vs. SEA, $4,800), who is simply mispriced in the wake of his prime-time breakout; Drake is a cash game must-start, but should be quite chalky in GPP formats.

Other bargain backs we like include Giovanni Bernard (CIN vs. CLE, $4,500), who is in line for an expanded role with Joe Mixon sidelined, and Jamaal Williams (GB at HOU, $4,000). Williams offers tremendous value in the PPR format used by DraftKings regardless of whether or not Aaron Jones suits up, but becomes a must-start if the Green Bay Packers decide to sit their first-stringer.
