New NFL Power Rankings as the Packers bounce back while the Seahawks and Patriots stumble.

Week 7 of the 2020 NFL season was full of more exciting games, especially in the early window. Many of those contests came down to the wire, including the battle for Ohio between the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals. In this one, two No. 1 overall picks went toe-to-toe as Joe Burrow threw three touchdowns and ran for another but was bested by Baker Mayfield who had five touchdowns.

Mayfield’s final touchdown came on his last play of the game, when he hit rookie Donovan Peoples-Jones for a game-winning score. Burrow and the Bengals fell to 1-5-1, but the young quarterback still looked sharp and his future is bright.

Young quarterbacks weren’t the only ones to stand out though, as Aaron Rodgers was on fire as the Green Bay Packers defeated the Houston Texans easily. Also, Tom Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a convincing win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Brady operated like a surgeon in the win, which was the opposite of what happened with his old team, the New England Patriots.

For the first time in decades, New England is off to a rough start as they are now 2-4 following their loss to the San Francisco 49ers — and another former quarterback of theirs, Jimmy Garoppolo. Cam Newton, the 2015 NFL MVP, was off-target for most of that game and had three interceptions in the loss.

With all that being said, we dive into our Week 8 edition of the 2020 NFL Power Rankings which sees Brady and the Bucs climb up some while the Pats continue to fall.
