NFL Power Rankings, Week 8: Packers bounce back, Seahawks stumble

The jokes about Thursday Night Football write themselves. This season has been a collection of struggling teams which has led to the endless cracks about how watching two struggling franchises is like watching paint dry. That was the case again as two one-win teams faced off this week with the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the New York Giants.
However, this one ended up being a pretty good game, especially in the second half. The Eagles had a 10-7 halftime lead but the Giants went up 21-10 and seemed to be thoroughly in control as their two-yard touchdown pass from Daniel Jones to Sterling Shepard made it a two-score game with 6:17 to play.
Philly was determined though as Carson Wentz hit Greg Ward for a touchdown on the ensuing drive which took up just 1:39 seconds. They then were aided by a drop from Evan Engram which allowed Wentz to find Boston Scott for the game-winning score with 40 seconds left to play.
Now the Eagles have a long time off before needing to face Dallas in their next game. Should they be able to win against a struggling Cowboys team, it could help them finally take full control of the dreadful NFC East which still does not have a team with a winning record in it. But hey, at least it’s exciting when they play one another.
