The fun for the Houston Texans didn’t last very long. They were 0-4 when they fired head coach Bill O’Brien and replaced him with Romeo Crennel. The veteran defensive coach led them to a win in Week 5 over the Jacksonville Jaguars by a score of 30-14.

After the win, players such as J.J. Watt let off some steam, saying it was finally fun to win again. Some wanted to take that as shade being thrown at B.O.B., but it was probably just Watt being happy to win. Sadly, that excitement faded quickly as Houston dropped a 42-36 game in Week 6 against the Tennessee Titans. Then to make matters worse, they had to host an angry Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers who suffered their first loss of the season to Tampa Bay the week before.

Rodgers took his frustration out on the Texans, throwing for 283 yards with four touchdowns. Davante Adams was the biggest target for Rodgers, pulling in 13 passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns. The end result was a 35-20 victory for Green Bay and Houston is now a frustrating 1-6 on the season.

For Deshaun Watson, this has to be beyond aggravating. He continues to play well but there’s just not enough talent around him and the Texans can’t compete with anyone right now, except fellow one-win teams.
