Three Atlanta Falcons who could be traded away at the 2020 NFL trade deadline.

Changes are already beginning to take place for the Atlanta Falcons less than halfway through the 2020 NFL season. After the team started a dreadful 0-5 to begin the new year, Atlanta ended up firing head coach Dan Quinn after five-plus seasons and general manager Thomas Dimitroff after about 13 years at the helm of the organization.

With that news and the direction of the future of the franchise up in the air until those two positions are filled, rumors have started to swirl about whether or not Atlanta should start to ship off players and begin a rebuilding process after a string of disappointing seasons continuing.

With change underway both on the sideline and in the front office, there has been some recent speculation about who the Falcons could look to deal before the Nov. 3 trade deadline approaches and if they want to do anything now to stack up assets for the new regime that will take over at the end of the 2020 campaign.

The first rumor that came about was a big one surrounding veteran quarterback Matt Ryan and Atlanta owner Arthur Blank not fully committing to Ryan moving forward, adding he would let the new front office ultimately make a decision on whether or not to keep the quarterback moving forward.

It will be interesting to see what the Falcons end up doing leading up to the trade deadline in early November or if they decide to stay put and wait until a new head coach and general manager are hired to make any meaningful moves on the roster during the offseason.

If Atlanta does decide to start selling pieces at the deadline and shifting an eye towards the 2021 season and beyond, let’s come up with a few players that the organization could move at the deadline.
