Before the 2020 NFL Trade Deadline, here are five players for the New England Patriots to target on offense.

The 2020 NFL season has already been an interesting one for the New England Patriots even before we have reached the midway point in the year.

Not only have eyes been on the Patriots in terms of how they would recover from losing legendary quarterback Tom Brady this offseason in free agency, but New England is still searching for a clear identity on the team with multiple new faces.

This offseason, after Brady decided to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in hopes of making a few more Super Bowl runs before he retires, the Patriots went out and signed quarterback Cam Newton to take things over in the offense under center.

Then New England had multiple players decide to opt-out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns and them worrying about their health during the year.

Even with all of that, the Patriots have managed to stick around the .500 mark now inching closer to the halfway mark in the regular season schedule, but are still looking to make a run later on in the year to ultimately return to the playoffs.

In order to do that, New England might have to evaluate the trade market ahead of the Nov. 3 NFL trade deadline to add some key pieces, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

Leading into Week 7, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver John Ross was one player who emerged as a candidate for the Patriots to eye as a trade target, with Ross likely looking to be dealt by the Bengals before the deadline passes.

But New England might be looking for even bigger targets to acquire via trade before the trade deadline officially arrives

With rumors starting to circle around the NFL, here are some players Bill Belichick and company could go out and try to trade for to improve things on the offensive side of the ball.
