Las Vegas Raiders bold predictions for a Week 8 matchup with the Browns.

After a beatdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Las Vegas Raiders are regrouped and set to take on Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns. Vegas is .500 this season at 3-3 while the Browns are 5-2 after their win over Joe Burrow and the Bengals. With the game being played in Cleveland, the Browns are expected to be favored.

If Raiders fans need motivation, they need only go back to the famous “Red Right 88” game in 1981 where the then Oakland Raiders upset the Browns on a last-second interception off Mike Davis before going on to the Super Bowl. Throughout their history, the Raiders own a 13-10 advantage in the all-time regular-season series against Cleveland.

While this matchup will not determine who moves on and who goes home, there is a bit of history that can be used in debates as to who will win. With both squads looking to make it to the postseason, this matchup figures to be a game that would be circled red on the calendar in each team’s locker room.

Head coach Jon Gruden will also get the opportunity to face former assistant coach Bill Callahan.  Raiders fans remember Callahan as the coach who took over for Jon Gruden after his first run as Raiders coach when Gruden left for Tampa Bay. Callahan led Oakland to a berth in Super Bowl XXXVII against Gruden’s Buccaneers before falling short 48-21.

All those stories in mind, here are some bold predictions for the Raiders as they get ready to take on the Browns.
