Scouting Report. 50. Pick Analysis. EDGE. Miami. Quincy Roche. 13. player

The Detroit Lions recently added Everson Griffen, which was a smart move for them. The former Minnesota Vikings defensive end was starting to turn things around with the Dallas Cowboys but they were punting on the season. Griffen will be a great fit across from Trey Flowers, but he’s also on just a one-year deal.

That’s why they look for a long-term answer here, which they land in Quincy Roche. A former Temple standout, Roche is now getting it done with the Hurricanes which solidifies his spot as a day one pick.

LB. Alabama. Dylan Moses. 14. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 87

Matt Rhule has done well in his first season with the Carolina Panthers and will continue to get better as he improves their defense. With the 14th pick in this mock draft, he does just that with Dylan Moses. The Alabama linebacker is a sideline-to-sideline guy and will instantly improve any defense he joins.

EDGE. 59. Michigan. Kwity Paye. 15. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

The Miami Dolphins improved their linebacking corps with the addition of Micah Parsons and it’s tempting to go for an offensive player here. However, the addition of Tua Tagovailoa gives them hope that the weapons they do have will be better. For that reason, they go after Michigan’s Kwity Paye with this pick, landing them a potential stud pass rusher.

Purdue. Rondale Moore. 54. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. 16

Carson Wentz has his flaws but there’s no quarterback who would be successful with the team he has this season. The Philadelphia Eagles need to put more weapons out there and while they did draft Jalen Reagor last season, adding another wideout this year would be wise. For that reason, they grab Purdue’s Rondale Moore at No. 16.

If the East stays as bad as it has been this year, Moore will put the Eagles over the top.
