The best games for NFL fans to watch on Sunday in Week 8.

The 2020 NFL season has been one of surprises. Yes, teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks have been as good as advertised but teams such as the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans have fallen by the wayside, though for vastly different reasons. In a year that has been tumultuous throughout the world, it figures that football has followed suit as we enter Week 8 and approach the midway point.

Given what we’ve seen, we should only expect more surprises to come this season. That especially applies to Week 8. There are critical divisional matchups on the docket this week throughout the NFL and much more for fans to be entertained by.

But if we’re whittling it down to the best games of NFL Week 8 on Sunday’s slate, these are the five matchups fans should be sure to keep an eye on this week.

5. Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers have been two of the most dominant teams in the NFL early in the 2020 season.

Pittsburgh’s return to form as a defensive-minded football team has been evident in how they’ve come into Week 8 as the only undefeated team remaining in the league. They’ve been a force on that side of the ball, capable of getting after quarterbacks, stifling the run and forcing turnovers on the back-end. It’s been highly impressive.

Ben Roethlisberger and the offense haven’t necessarily been clicking at top gear this season, though. The good news is they haven’t been asked to be. Just being conservative and making a few plays throughout the game has been good enough to allow the defense to buoy the Steelers to wins.

The Steelers haven’t played a team like the Ravens yet this season, though. While reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson has seemingly taken a step back from his form of last year, they only have one loss on the year coming into this AFC North matchup. Their high-octane offense of last season needs to show up to push Pittsburgh, though.

Much like their division rivals, however, Baltimore’s defense has been an anchor for them. They have been terrific on every level on that side of the ball and could potentially push Pittsburgh’s pedestrian offense in this matchup. With big-time playoff implications at play, within the division and otherwise, all eyes need to be on Steelers-Ravens in Week 8.
