32. . . Previous: 11th. Arizona Cardinals. 9. team

There really wasn’t a better time for the Arizona Cardinals to have their bye week. They’re coming off two primetime wins, the second of which was a great comeback over a divisional rival. Arizona was on a short week after beating the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football in Week 6 ad they hosted the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football.

Seattle was undefeated at the time and Russell Wilson was clearly the favorite for the NFL MVP heading toward midseason. Then, the Cardinals made life miserable for him. Wilson was picked off three times as Arizona fought back from a 20-7 deficit to tie the game up at 34 — forcing overtime. Arizona then found a way to win, as Zane Gonzalez knocked in a 48-yard field goal with 15 seconds remaining on the clock.

This was the third win in a row for the Cardinals, giving them a record of 5-2. While head coach Kliff Kingsbury seemed to have them on the right track as a rookie in 2019, no one expected them to make the jump they have so far in 2020. Then again, no one thought the Texans would give them Deandre Hopkins for an overpriced running back and a second-round pick.
