4. Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are one of those teams that had some incredibly bad luck with their schedule as they started the season facing 5 teams that could be considered Super Bowl contenders and two teams in Jacksonville and Minnesota that are still feisty. Houston finds themselves at 1-6 after Week 8 and are one of the teams considered sellers at the trade deadline.

Thanks to Bill O’Brien’s management of the team, the Texans have eight picks in the 2021 NFL Draft but do not have any picks in the first two rounds. So in order to rebuild, they will need to move players like Will Fuller and Randall Cobb to add to their meager collection of picks.

Their pick is currently projected to land in the top five but it will be the Miami Dolphins making the selection as it was part of the Laremy Tunsil trade.

The trade deadline is looming and if they do not make any moves they will be waiting until late in Day 2 of the draft before making any picks. They have a franchise quarterback and a franchise left tackle but they need to rebuild an aging defense and give Deshaun Watson some weapons after trading away future Hall of Famer DeAndre Hopkins.
