2. Aaron Rodgers hits 300 yards, 4 touchdowns in three quarters

Though some of the early-season MVP buzz for Aaron Rodgers might have died down now that the Packers have lost two of their last three games and the future Hall-of-Famer hasn’t been elite in some of those performances. Overall, though, this is still shaping up to be an absolutely phenomenal season for Rodgers.

Over seven games, the quarterback is completing 65.9 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,948 yards with 20 touchdowns and only two interceptions. He’s scoring, he’s making plays and he passes the eye test, looking like a more fiery and effective passer than he did last season when people were ready to start writing him off.

This entire season has seemingly been about Rodgers showing that he can still lead a contender by putting the offense on his back. He’s been motivated by Green Bay taking a first-round quarterback and the slights from the media. So why wouldn’t he be motivated to go for the jugular against a 49ers team that harassed and stifled him twice in big games last season?

Rodgers is going to be out for blood and San Francisco doesn’t have the horses to keep him from getting what he wants. Not only will Rodger reenter MVP talks with a monster statistical performance but he’ll make way for Tim Boyle or Jordan Love in the fourth quarter as the Packers have a monster lead on the back of their all-world quarterback’s efforts.
