FanDuel NFL Week 9 Picks and Advice: Tight End

Even with most of the top tight ends in the slate, it is still getting brutal at this position. With George Kittle suffering a season-ending injury, Travis Kelce ($8,000) stands alone in the top tier of tight ends.

The only mid range tight end that stands out is Noah Fant ($5,800), who consistently sees top tier volume, though has not been able to turn his targets into fantasy points. Regardless, he is a strong cash play against Atlanta who is allowing the most fantasy points in the league to opposing tight ends.

This is a great week to punt the tight end position, with some of the best options being Logan Thomas ($5,000), Darren Fells ($5,200), and Irv Smith Jr. ($4,600). All these players run plenty of routes and see decent targets, which is what you want when you are punting the position.

If I am paying up for tight end, I want more upside than what comes with Mark Andrews ($6,600) and T.J. Hockenson ($6,000). With Lamar Jackson throwing for only 191 yards a game and Matthew Stafford possibly out, both of these tight ends are heavily reliant on touchdowns, something you do not want when paying a premium for a top-five tight end.
