FanDuel NFL Week 9 Picks and Advice: D/ST

It is hard to see a world where the Cowboys will score a single point against the Steelers D/ST ($5,000) and, while you do not ever have to pay up at defense, if you find yourself with $4700+ dollars left and are looking at defenses, it is worth adjusting your lineup to fit the Steelers in. If you do not have the cash, there are still plenty of cheaper values.

My favorite play this week is Houston ($3700) against a Jake Luton led Jacksonville team. If Matthew Stafford were to sit, the Minnesota Vikings ($3,400) would become incredibly appealing.

Finally, I would much rather play New York ($4,100) over Washington ($4,700) in the same game. The last time they met, New York was the defense to own and they are coming off a game where they controlled Tom Brady well.

FanDuel Week 9 DFS Lineup

  • QB Josh Allen – $8200
  • RB Dalvin Cook – $9300
  • RB Chase Edmonds – $6700
  • WR Keenan Allen – $7500
  • WR Tyler Lockett – $7400
  • WR John Brown – $5500
  • TE Noah Fant – $5800
  • FLEX Justin Jackson – $5900
  • D/ST Houston – $3700

This lineup gives you the combination of incredibly talented players with high scoring offenses. You have plenty of pieces in both the Seattle vs. Buffalo and Chargers game, which have two of the highest over-unders of the week.

If you are playing in a tournament, consider stacking Allen with replacing Keenan Allen with Stefon Diggs, giving you both the Bills receivers and Lockett on the other side of the ball. If you are building a cash lineup, consider downgrading Cook to a player like James Conner, allowing you to swap the riskier players like John Brown and Justin Jackson with more expensive proven talents.

Regardless of the lineup you choose to craft, best of luck in your Week 9 DFS endeavors on FanDuel.
