Bold predictions for the New England Patriots in Week 9 against the ailing Jets.

At the midway point in the 2020 NFL season, things are starting to go south quickly for the New England Patriots. After New England began the year winning two of its first three games, the Patriots have since followed that up by losing four in a row while sitting three games under the .500 mark, the worst record for the team since 2000.

On Monday Night Football in Week 9, New England will aim to try and starting righting that ship and turning things around when it remains on the road to play a struggling AFC East opponent on national television.

The Patriots will hit the road looking to end a losing streak against the winless New York Jets on Monday night in Week 9 of the regular season schedule at MetLife Stadium.

New England is coming off of falling on the road against the Buffalo Bills 24-21 during Week 8 of the year, falling late in the game following a fumble with under a minute left to seal the game for the Bills.

In the game, the Patriots trailed the Bills 7-6 at halftime and climbed back into the game in the second half to make things interesting going down the stretch. Unfortunately, Cam Newton fumbled the ball late with New England in Buffalo territory with a chance to tie the game or potentially pull away late, which resulted in the Patriots losing their fourth game in a row and dropping to 2-5 overall.

On the other side of the field in Week 9, things have gone even worse for New York through eight weeks of the regular season, coming into the game with a winless mark of 0-8 while most recently falling to the Kansas City Chiefs 35-9 in Week 8.

In that game, Kansas City jumped out in front of New York early and didn’t look back for the remainder of the game, handing the Jets their eighth loss of the year behind a 26-point win.

Before the Patriots and Jets battle it out in a divisional matchup on Monday Night Football, let’s dive into three bold predictions that will occur for New England in the game.
