2021 NFL Mock Draft: Patriots grab Zach Wilson, Bears roll with Kyle Trask

Wide receiver was likely already a need for the Detroit Lions moving into the 2021 offseason given the contract status of that position group as a whole and Kenny Golladay’s health this season has only furthered that. DeVonta Smith is about as sure of a bet as you’ll find though. While he may not have typical NFL size for the position, every part of his game is polished and dangerous and he could help keep Matthew Stafford and this Detroit passing offense humming.
14. player. 45. . CB. Denver Broncos. Tyson Campbell
The Denver Broncos are a fascinating team right now. People are divided still on Drew Lock and everyone seems to have questions but they tend to be at different position groups. For me, cornerback needs to be upgraded more than any spot, especially with this value.
Georgia’s Tyson Campbell is a draft crush of mine. While he’s still garnering experience that will help polish his game, his physical tools and natural feel for the position on the outside make him a top-tier prospect at cornerback.
42. . QB. San Francisco 49ers. Mac Jones. 15. player
Much like Wilson, Alabama’s Mac Jones has been a massive riser in the 2021 NFL mock draft cycle this season. His deep ball might be the best in college football right now and he’s proven to be a far better prospect than anyone expected.
It seems that patience among 49ers fans is growing thin with Jimmy Garoppolo and he could be gone after the 2020 campaign. Bringing Jones into this offense that takes shots and runs the ball a ton should make him feel right at home and allow him to thrive while giving San Francisco more upside at quarterback.

Who could’ve predicted that the Miami Dolphins’ own pick would be 12 spots better than the one owed to them by Houston? Regardless, after taking Chase at No. 4, this team turns its attention to a budding defense. Linebacker is a glaring need as they need a complete player in the middle of the defense, a role Alabama’s Dylan Moses can fill. He’s not been a superstar after returning from a torn ACL suffered in 2019 but he’s been more than good enough to warrant being taken here.
