New NFL Power Rankings with the Buccaneers falling flat and Bills making a statement.

There weren’t a lot of huge upsets in NFL Week 9, but there were a couple of close calls. The most surprising was the game between the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers. Dallas was down to their fourth different starting quarterback on the season as Garrett Gilbert made his first career start.

Gilbert played well and the Cowboys had the lead in the fourth quarter, but they ended up falling short as Ben Roethlisberger led the Steelers to a come-from-behind win as he hit Eric Ebron for what proved to be the game-winner. With the victory, Pittsburgh stayed perfect on the season, the only team to still own an unblemished record.

Another close call came as the Kansas City Chiefs struggled with the Carolina Panthers. Even after taking a lead in the second half — following some first-half struggles — the Chiefs needed a late stop as the Panthers nearly got into range for a realistic field goal. They did try a 67-yarder at the end of the game, but that was the equivalent of a Hail Mary.

Outside of some close calls, there were a couple of teams who scored statement wins. One was the Buffalo Bills, who dropped 44 on the Seattle Seahawks in their win. Josh Allen was incredible in the win as the third-year gun-slinger threw for 415 yards with four total touchdowns as the Bills got their most impressive win of the season.

Then on Sunday Night Football, there was a major statement made by the New Orleans Saints who completely manhandled the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was the second time this season the Saints beat the Bucs, and this sweep could go a long way toward securing the NFC South for Drew Brees and company as they shocked Tom Brady and his crew.

These games, and more, play a huge part in how the Week 10 version of our 2020 NFL Power Rankings play out, which we dive right into with the No. 32 team in the league.
