A fantastic performance from Kyler Murray ended up being wasted as the Arizona Cardinals lost by three against the Miami Dolphins. It was a great battle between Kyler Murray and Tua Tagovailoa, with each being brilliant.

Murray went for 283 yards on 21-of-26 passing with three touchdowns and no picks. He added another 106 yards on the ground with a touchdown as he did all he could to will his team to a win.

On the other side, Tua was good on 20-of-28 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns. He also moved the ball with his legs, although not as much as Murray, finishing with 35 yards on seven rushes.

As good as Murray and Tua were, the game wasn’t decided by the young signal-callers. Instead, it came down to the kickers, which it often does in the NFL. For Miami, theirs was the winner as Jason Sanders drilled a 50-yarder with three and a half minutes left to play. Then Arizona moved into field goal range and decided to try a 49-yarder on fourth-and-1.

That kick fell short as Zane Gonzalez was unable to deliver. The Cardinals then had to watch as the Dolphins ran out the clock. Still, 5-3 is a solid start for them, and it’s a bit of a surprise for the young franchise.
